The Department of Natural Resources is the Government of Anguilla’s newest natural resource agency formed by the merging of the former Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources
It subsumes the individual operations of these former departments with an overall mandate for food security, sustainable fishing & agriculture and climate adaption and resilience.
To achieve sustainable food production, food security, and environmental governance as quintessential components of long-term economic development and climate resilience in Anguilla.
To deliver best practices in food production and environmental governance which emphasize entrepreneurship, public engagement, and ultimately, sustainable development.
